Ronald Smith

Ronald Smith is currently serving The Denyce Graves Foundation in a creative and advisory capacity, focusing on everything from operations and programs to board development, team building, fundraising, and strategic planning. After enjoying a successful singing career - including international appearances in Tokyo, Cape Town, London, and Cairo - Mr. Smith turned his attention to the financial services sector and created a second self-sustaining career. He spent 20 years at Merrill Lynch, rising to Vice President Business Manager in the Global Capital Markets division and Vice President Product Manager in the Global Rates Group. Eventually, he transitioned to a private sector position at a $5B AUM fund in oversight and governance. Mr. Smith’s commitment to DGF is motivated by his deeply shared belief in the foundation’s mission, vision, and artistic goals.
