The Denyce Graves Foundation Logo

The Denyce Graves Foundation was founded in 2021 with the goal of achieving diversity, equity and inclusion across the musical spectrum.  Through strategic partnerships and cross-industry alignments, including with HBCUs, conservatories and schools of music, The Library of Congress, The Metropolitan Opera, and The Smithsonian Institution, among others, the Foundation champions educational outreach, research, new works of art, and philanthropic investment in young classical vocal artists of world-class talent from all backgrounds.

Inaugurated in September 2022 at the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University, Shared Voices builds on the longstanding connections between HBCUs and conservatories by working with institutions that are committed to preparing classical vocal artists and to addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in a novel way.
